Since 1912
On March 12, 1912, Juliette Gordon Low gathered 18 girls in Savannah, Georgia for the first Girl Scout meeting. She told her cousin: "I've got something for the girls of Savannah, and all America, and all the world!"
The first Girl Scout cookies were baked and sold in 1917 by the Mistletoe Troop in Oklahoma. Today, over 200 million boxes are sold each year.
